Meet Your Therapist

Madeleine Schad, LMFT-IT (she/her)

My name is Madeleine (most people call me Maddie) and I am  a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-In Training in the state of Wisconsin. I received my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University in 2023 and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I am supervised in practice by Nicole Olejniczak, LMFT.

Based on my own life experiences, I have developed a passion for working with family systems in the therapeutic setting. My background has strongly influenced my practice as a therapist, and in a way, I have been "training" to be a therapist as an empathetic, "old soul" my entire life.

Outside of the therapy room, I have a passion for writing, having deep conversations (that seem to come up out of the blue), tarot and astrology, my own spirituality, spending time with my cats and family, furthering my advocacy efforts in building/fostering community, enjoying the Northwoods, and continuing to figure out what it is that sets my soul on fire.

My purpose here on this planet is to use my voice, my curiosity, my empathy, my vulnerability, and my understanding in helping others create lasting change in their lives and live out their purpose.

ABOUT KINDRED CONNECTIONS

Why you should choose Kindred Connections and private practice

Madeleine Schad, LMFT-IT, created Kindred Connections Therapy Services LLC as a way to foster connection and community with individuals, couples, and families through talk therapy.

Schedule Now

Private practice allows therapists the flexibility to provide the best care possible. With the ability to provide flexible scheduling, clients can often get into therapy quicker than with hospitals or agencies in today's evolving world!

Private pay may also be a less expensive option for those who don't usually meet their deductible or do not have health insurance. For couples and families, sometimes insurance does not cover or fully cover cost of services with limitations to how many sessions are covered.

Private practice allows your therapist to tailor the therapeutic process to best fit the needs of clients. This involves longer sessions to dive deeper into the problems being experienced as well as different approaches than may be experienced in a traditional hospital or mental health setting.
